MUSCCO in the country plays this role of advocacy by getting support from SACCOs to help express their views and wishes to the government and stakeholders at large. Thus by making sure that the voice of SACCOs in the country is heard. MUSCCO is simply an advocate.

- Punitive legislative instruments and provisions
- Unfair taxation
- Delayed or non remittances of SACCO dues
- Unfair competition by other financial institutions in the market
